A Edo period, early 18th century Imari octagonal dish. Painted in iron-red, green enamels and gilt on underglaze blue. The central roundel enclosing a flower basket with peony and peach on a terrace, surrounded by shaped panels enclosing flowers or a landscape with birds and dragons.

Dit sirihkistje is voorzien van een zeer fraai set rococo zilver. Met gegoten greepjes en voorzien van vier ronde zilveren voetjes. Deze sirihkistjes worden ook wel V.O.C kistjes genoemd vanwege hun voormalige eigenaren die gezien de westerse stijl van het beslag uit Holland afkomstig zijn geweest en vaak in dienst waren van de V.O.C.
